OUR SERVICES

De-sexing

We provide spaying, de-sexing of female pets to prevent unwanted pregnancies. This also significantly reduces risk of mammary tumours, prevents pyometra (severe infection of the uterus which can be fatal) and reduces the risk of ovarian and uterine cancer. Minimum age of spaying in cats is 6 months old. It is now recommended to neuter a female dog after her first heat to reduce the risk of vaginitis (inflammation of vagina).

Castration of males reduces risk of prostate cancer and prostate inflammation. It also helps to calm male animals and reduces territorial behaviour and testosterone-driven aggression. It prevents testicular cancer. Castrating males also helps to reduce unwanted pregnancies and reduces the risk of males straying when a female dog is on heat in the area. Minimum age of castration in both cats and dogs is 6 months old.
